Douglas R McCarter, Dhc is the Technical Integrator of McCarter Machine Inc, a WOSB in LaPorte Texas founded in 1981. In addition to assisting corporate planning, Doug has served as Principal Investigator for 3 MDA SBIR’s. Doug’s Technical Experience • Completed US Dept. of Labor Apprenticeship Program sponsored by Exxon USA. 1977 • Attended over 3000+ class hours of Mechanical Technical and Troubleshooting. • Strengths in Industrial Organization and Management, Manufacturing, Vibration Analysis & Troubleshooting, Dynamic Balancing, Marketing and Research & Development. • Studied under the late great Frank Anthony, Bell Labs Silicon Pioneer, from 1996-2001. Together developed cooled and uncooled silicon mirrors. • Studied under Roger Paquin, World Renowned Material Stabilization Scientist, from 2005-2015 Together presenting why Silicon is Preeminent for Stable Optics and Optomechanical Structures • Over 40 years of technical and manufacturing experience. • Experienced in 1st ,2nd and 3rd line Chemical Plant Maintenance supervision • Invited Speaker for MDA, SPIE, OSA, ESTO, OMICS and NSMMS • Inventor of manufacturing processes for exotic alloys o Awarded Lifetime Senior Member Status in the SPIE, Society of Professional Optical Society o Recognized as World’s Expert on Precision Silicon Components by ESTO o Appointed ten term on Editorial Staff of International Optic Periodical named “Advanced Optical Technology†AOT o Granted Honorary Doctorate from EOS as expert in silicon material understanding o Granted Adjunct Professorship in OMICS to teach silicon material behavior in optics and structures o Received SPIE Gold Medal Award
