Biography
Prof. Ke-Lin Du has been a research scientist at the Center for Signal Processing and Communications, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Concordia University since 2001, where he became an Affiliate Associate Professor in 2011. He investigated on signal processing, wireless communications, and soft-computing. In 2014, he founded Xonlink Inc in Ningbo, China, where we work on the Internet of things and big data. From 2011 to 2014, he was chief scientist and vice president at Enjoyor Inc, where he focused on intelligent solutions for smart cities, including video-based surveilance monitoring and intelligent transportation systems. During 2008, he spent six months with Signal Processing and Communications Lab, Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong, China, where he worked on cognitive radios. He received a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) with a thesis on artificial intelligence and robotics in 1998. Currently, he is a member of the editorial board of IEEE Spectrum Chinese Edition and is an associate editor of IET Signal Processing and Circuits, Systems & Signal Processing. He also served on program committees of dozens of international conferences. His current research interest is in signal processing for wireless communications, machine learning, and intelligent systems.
