Biography
All projects are based on advancement in micro and nanofabrication technologies and new phenomena in low dimensional structures. Discovery of long-range superconducting proximity effects in mesoscopic systems, single photon detection of terahertz radiation, manipulation of individual electrons on the surface of liquid helium, and development of powerful single-mode laser is the main achievements. Currently, He concentrates on passive terahertz imaging in application to security and health screening and high power diode lasers. Research is carried out in collaboration with National Physical Laboratory (UK), Nippon Telegraph Telephone Corp (Japan), Tokyo University (Japan), Chalmers University (Sweden), ISSP RAS (Russia), IPMT RAS (Russia), GN Optics Ltd (Russia)
